Shadow Automotive are delighted to offer this exceptional Peugeot 205 1.6 GTi Special Edition, a beautifully restored and increasingly collectible example, presented in outstanding condition throughout. Presented for an MOT test on 09/01/2026 that it passed with no advisories.

This car has recently undergone a fully documented, glass-out total restoration approximately 1,000 miles ago, and now presents to a standard rarely seen. With just six previous keepers from new, the most recent owner retained the car for four years during the restoration process, while the prior keeper enjoyed ownership for over fifteen years — a strong indication of long-term care and provenance.

We understand that approximately 1,200 Special Edition examples were produced, offered in just two colours and available with either the 1.6 or 1.9 GTi engine. This example is finished in the iconic Miami Blue and benefits from desirable factory features including power steering, electric windows, a sliding sunroof and leather-trimmed seating.

The restoration work is extensive, fully documented with invoices and photographic records, and includes a glass-out respray, gearbox rebuild, engine refresh, and a £3,000 interior re-trim with fresh seat bolsters. Steering, suspension and braking components have been replaced or rebuilt as required, while the underside was dry-ice cleaned before being treated with zinc primer and finished in a grey stone-chip protective coating, ensuring both longevity and originality of presentation.

Offered with an extensive history file, the car includes the original owner's book pack with partially stamped service book, previous MOT certificates, historic tax discs, and comprehensive documentation of the restoration process.
